NYC and Quebec City 2012

For my mothers ?-something birthday (she won't let me tell and you won't guess any way), the Fam went on vacation!  We started in NYC for a few days and traveled via roadtrip to Quebec City.  On the surface, QC looks like a cute little French town.  And it is.  Peel back the layers and those crazy Quebecois are serious about their art!  From a free performance by Cirque du Soleil under a freeway overpass to an avant-garde movie projected on 25 grain silos, they impressed us.  Throw in a 427 step descent to view a 27 story tall waterfall and a day trip to Montreal and we were all set.  See for yourself.

Being a kid again in this most famous toy store!  NYC wouldn't be complete without a stop at FAO Schwartz!

Or Dylan's Candy Bar.  Yes, we have one in Houston but there's nothing like the real one.

Road trip!  We are on our way!

I was fascinated with their zinc roofs.  Tres Parisienne!

In case you don't speak French, they included them all...

Montmorency Falls.  Taller than Niagara but not as wide.

 Famous Victorian architecture in Montreal

We were in awe of the Basilica du Notre Dame!

I always knew I was blessed...

Arizona Desert Views-12-2012

I grew up in the beautiful Sonoran desert, just east of Tucson, Arizona.  Living in Houston now, when I say I am "going home" it is to this desert.  These are not new photos, I took them this past Christmas-time but I had to share them with you; they are so lovely...  I think you will see in them how much I love this lush, green desert...
